Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: The Video Converter at 4.5 against Charts's 2.3. The Video Converter also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (10K vs 3). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. The Video Converter sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Charts sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

The Video Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Video Converter has 10K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of The Video Converter's written reviews are positive against 33% of Charts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

The Video Converter ships an update every 4 months, Charts every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
