Tired of arriving on a beach to realize that it is full of jellyfish? Impossible to swim, in short a spoiled moment! With Meduseo, the jellyfish weather, find out in real time about the presence of jellyfish on the beaches. You only have to enter the name of the city to access the information. The data is presented in the form of bubbles on the map going from yellow to red: - No color: no jellyfish reported - Yellow: Rare jellyfish (you may come across one isolated, no risk for swimming) - Orange: Some jellyfish (swimming may be possible, but be careful) - Red: Many jellyfish (we do not recommend swimming) The base is updated every 4 hours for France, Spain, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand. Meduseo uses a unique algorithm, specifically developed for this theme making data available in summer but also throughout the year! You can also report the presence of jellyfish on beaches directly from the application and thus share your observations with the community.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Meduseo at 5.0 against Meteociel's 4.5. Meduseo also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Meteociel's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (110 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Meduseo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Meteociel has 110 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Meteociel's written reviews are positive against 81% of Meduseo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Meteociel ships an update every 6 weeks, Meduseo every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
