Verdict
風傳媒 and PttX both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 45% of 風傳媒's written reviews are positive against 33% of PttX's. 風傳媒 also leads on ratings volume (83 vs 16). PttX's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 風傳媒 sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per month and PttX sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for 風傳媒 against 4.6 for PttX. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 風傳媒 has 83 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 45% of 風傳媒's written reviews are positive against 33% of PttX's.
風傳媒 ships an update fortnightly, PttX weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
