Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Workpoint at none against TrueID's 37. Workpoint also leads on device support (4 vs 2). TrueID's advantage is review sentiment (32% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TrueID sells 35 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Workpoint asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Workpoint against 4.8 for TrueID. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TrueID has 1.6K ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 0% of Workpoint's written reviews are positive against 32% of TrueID's.
Workpoint ships an update every 6 weeks, TrueID every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
