Welcome to Labster - the world's leading platform for interactive science education. Through the Labster app, educators and students can access Labster's library of content including our premier virtual lab simulations. You need to have purchased access to Labster to be able to log in to this app. The Labster app is designed to work on iPads - we recommend not using this app on iPhones due to the smaller screen size, which will lead to a less than optimal experience.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: mySFC Mobile at 4.6 against Labster's 2.9. Labster's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (29 vs 9). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
mySFC Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 29 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of mySFC Mobile's written reviews are positive against 27% of Labster's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
mySFC Mobile ships an update every 4 months, Labster monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
