German Whist Elite brings the timeless two-player trick-taking card game to life with a jaw-dropping casino aesthetic, a ruthless AI opponent, and buttery-smooth card animations that make every hand feel cinematic. HOW TO PLAY German Whist is played over two phases with a standard 52-card deck. In Phase 1, you and your opponent trade tricks to build the strongest possible hand — the winner of each trick claims the face-up stock card, while the loser draws blind. Every decision matters: do you fight for that Ace of trumps, or let it go and keep your strategy hidden? Once the stock is exhausted, Phase 2 begins — and this is where the real battle plays out. All 13 tricks count toward your score. Win more tricks than your opponent and you pocket the difference as match points. First player to 21 wins the match. THREE DIFFICULTY LEVELS — FROM RELAXED TO RUTHLESS Whether you're learning the ropes or looking for a genuine mental workout, German Whist Elite has you covered. Easy mode plays casually — perfect for learning the rules and enjoying the experience without the pressure. Medium mode uses smart heuristics, always making solid plays and putting up a real fight. Hard mode is a different beast entirely: a full minimax engine with alpha-beta pruning takes over in Phase 2, playing with perfect information and near-flawless strategy. It will punish every mistake. PREMIUM VISUALS & FEEL Deep casino-green felt table with leather trim and gold accents Beautifully rendered cards with realistic shine, shadows, and bevels Fluid 60fps animations — springy deals, 3D card flips, drag-to-play with momentum Confetti explosion and haptic feedback on every win Opponent's hand shown as a elegantly fanned arc of card backs Animated score tracker, phase indicator, and real-time trick counter COMPLETE GERMAN WHIST RULES — NO SHORTCUTS Full suit-following rules enforced. Trumps beat side suits. Ace is always high. The face-up card determines trump for the entire hand. Phase 1 tricks don't score — only Phase 2 decides the winner. Every rule from the classic game is faithfully implemented. TRACK YOUR PROGRESS SwiftData-powered statistics track every match: win rate, best winning streak, scores by difficulty, and your full game history. See how you improve over time and climb from Easy to Hard. ACCESSIBILITY FIRST Full VoiceOver support with descriptive labels on every card and action. Dynamic Type respected throughout. Reduce Motion support for a comfortable experience on any device. Optimised for both iPhone and iPad. No ads. No in-app purchases. No internet required. Just you and the cards.
