Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: RFGF at 5.0 against Matchapp's 3.7. RFGF also leads on ads (none vs shown). Matchapp's advantage is review sentiment (28% vs 5%) and ratings volume (15 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Matchapp sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per year and RFGF sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
RFGF holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matchapp has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Matchapp's written reviews are positive against 5% of RFGF's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Matchapp ships an update monthly, RFGF every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
