Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Danas at 3.7 against Večernje Novosti's 1.7. Danas also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Večernje Novosti's advantage is review sentiment (55% vs 46%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Danas holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 1.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 30 and 28 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Večernje Novosti's written reviews are positive against 46% of Danas's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Večernje Novosti ships an update every 4 weeks, Danas fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
