Countdowns helps you count down to something you're looking forward to, whether that's a wedding, birthday, or new iPhone! Need to count up from it instead? No problem! Designed to be more than a timer app, Countdowns is great for keeping tabs on how long it is until something, or how long it is since it happened. Count up from the last time you had a cigarette and down to your next cookie — if it happened in the past or is happening in the future, Countdowns keeps track of the time so you don't need to. About

Gridfuel

Your AI fuel in your pocket. Break free from subscriptions. A smart grid routes the right power to every request. A prepaid pass, no commitment: your credit never evaporates. A GAUGE, NOT A METER You are not buying messages. You are filling the tank. Grid shows a fuel gauge, like a dashboard. It goes down as you use it, it goes back up when you top up. There is nothing else to work out — no quotas, no tiers, no technical units to convert in your head at the exact moment you need an answer. NEVER EXPIRES What you did not use this month is still yours next month. Nothing resets. Nothing goes stale. A top-up adds to what is left: one pass, then two, then three if you top up before spending it all. It is the exact opposite of a subscription, which takes back every month whatever you did not have time to use. And if you stop, nothing is charged. There is no subscription to cancel, because there never was one. A SMART GRID, NOT A DROPDOWN A simple question does not need the most powerful model. A complex analysis does. Grid reads your request and routes it to the engine that fits — no choice to make, no dropdown, no documentation to read. You type, the answer comes. A discreet badge tells you which engine replied. That is what a smart grid does: it routes the right power to where it is needed, and no further. SET AND FORGET Describe once what you want to follow — a market, a competitor, a topic, an industry. Grid handles it from then on: it analyses the web and live prices in the background, at the frequency you set, and emails you its report. You do not open the app for this. The report arrives. You read it when you like, and it rests on real, dated sources — not on a model's memory. FACTORY DIRECT Wired straight to the engines. No reseller, no middle layer. A single pass replaces several subscriptions billing separately, none of which you ever use all at once. WHAT IS INSIDE • Writing, editing, rewriting • Share an answer in one tap — Mail, Messages, your notes • Translation between English, French and beyond • Code: write, review, explain, fix • Summaries and analysis of any text you paste in • A document received by email: Share, then Grid • A paper document: photograph it, Grid reads the text • Automatic monitoring delivered by email • Answers grounded in up-to-date web sources NO PASSWORD Your email address, a link, you are in. Or Apple. Or Google. We store no password, so there is none to steal. We sell no data and show no advertising. Grid keeps only your last 30 exchanges. Older ones fade away on their own, a new conversation clears everything, and deleting your account erases the rest. Your fuel stays. Your conversations don't. Bilingual English / French. Grid can make mistakes: check important information. It's in the bag.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is ads: Gridfuel at none against Countdowns's shown. Gridfuel also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Countdowns's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
