AeroNOTAM gives you easy and fast access to NOTAMs worldwide. It features offline data-management, multiple list views, map view, notifications, and filters. You can bookmark NOTAMs for later reference and share them by mail, message, or social media sites. NOTAMs are organized as routes either by flightpath (arrival/departure airport), an airport with radius, a simple list of your most used airports, or by swiping on the map and defining a radius. Appropriate FIRs will be added automatically. Optionally airport NOTAMs can be shown in local time. AeroNOTAM supports also background refresh, which (when enabled) fetches new NOTAMs automatically in background. You can define alerts (push notifications) for airports and FIRs to be notified (between 1 and 48) hours in advance before a NOTAM becomes effective. Data access after 14-days free trial period is available thru (non auto-renewable) 2-months subscriptions. Data is provided by US FAA which covers a lot of airports, however, they might not provide data for smaller airfields or local NOTAM series outside the US. Please note: AeroNOTAM will be shut down in 2026 and most functionality will be integrated into AeroWeather Pro.
FlightChecked

FlightChecked streamlines your preflight briefing, helping you manage the volume of operational data before you head to the aircraft. Instead of wading through blocks of cryptic NOTAM text and raw forecast strings, you get clean, decoded, and easily scannable information for every airport and FIR on your route. Built for pilots, by pilots. — FLIGHT OVERVIEW — All your upcoming flights in one place, each with a quick snapshot of departure and destination weather and NOTAM status. Spot deteriorating conditions or new restrictions before you open the full briefing. — TAF AS A TIMELINE — Visibility, ceiling, and weather phenomena are parsed from each TAF and presented cleanly. Wind components are resolved against the runway diagram and corrected for local magnetic variation. The full forecast is shown as a color-coded timeline for rapid VFR/MVFR/IFR assessment. — NOTAM DECODE & MAP — Hundreds of NOTAMs, instantly readable. We translate raw NOTAMs into structured, plain language and plot spatially relevant obstacles and restrictions on an interactive map — instead of burying them in cryptic text. — ENROUTE OVERVIEW — See your departure, destination, and enroute alternates together. Smart ERA suggestions surface suitable enroute alternates for your route, with relevant NOTAMs and weather appearing exactly where they matter along the way. — FIR NOTAM MAP — Every FIR your route crosses, visualized with airspace restrictions, obstacles, and hazards plotted where they are. Smart filters surface only NOTAMs relevant to your flight — close to your route, at your cruising altitudes, and active during your crossing time — sorted by aircraft-aware severity. — WEATHER & NOTAM ALERTS — Proactive notifications in the hours before departure. Alerts are scoped to airports on your active route and filtered by severity and time relevance, so you hear about the fog, wind, or new restriction that actually affects you. — COMING SOON — AI-generated briefing notes tailored to flight phase and timing, runway and taxiway closures on airport layouts, and weather-aware fuel tracking. WHY FLIGHTCHECKED • 1,000+ NOTAMs decoded daily • 200+ airports supported • 200+ FIRs supported Less time decoding. More time understanding the big picture. Download FlightChecked now and fly with clearer context. FlightChecked is a supplementary aid that aims to enhance a pilot's situational awareness and does not replace official briefing sources or pilot-in-command judgment. Verdict
AeroNOTAM and FlightChecked are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. AeroNOTAM sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and FlightChecked sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
