Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: codeSpark at 4.6 against Math Olympics's 4.0. codeSpark also leads on ratings volume (41K vs 8) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Math Olympics's advantage is iOS requirement (10.3 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. codeSpark sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Math Olympics sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
codeSpark holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: codeSpark has 41K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.
codeSpark ships an update fortnightly, Math Olympics every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
