Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: alphaben at 5.0 against Untis Mobile's 4.5. Untis Mobile's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 1) and review sentiment (51% vs 33%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
alphaben holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Untis Mobile has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Untis Mobile's written reviews are positive against 33% of alphaben's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Untis Mobile ships an update every 2 weeks, alphaben every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
