Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is update cadence: NX at every 10 days against Cam Viewer1's every 7 months. NX also leads on review sentiment (58% vs 33%) and ratings volume (22 vs 2). Cam Viewer1's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Cam Viewer1 holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NX has 22 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Cam Viewer1's written reviews are positive against 58% of NX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cam Viewer1 ships an update every 7 months, NX every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
