Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Q97 Redding holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Q97 Redding's written reviews are positive against 100% of 106X's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Q97 Redding ships an update every 9 months, 106X every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
