North Point App is free to download; Lightamins costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Lightamins holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: North Point App has 42 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of North Point App's written reviews are positive against 50% of Lightamins's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
North Point App ships an update every 2 months, Lightamins every 7 months. Both last shipped on October 5, 2026.
