Engine LD vs Engineering Wise

Engine Layout Definitions (Engine LD) Understand how piston–crank geometry impacts engine performance. • Explore how layout changes affect engine displacement, rated power, and dynamic forces. • View detailed graphs and data lists: • Displacement volume vs. crank angle • Dynamic forces vs. crank angle • Export values for spreadsheet analysis or basic FEA (finite element analysis). • Interactive simulation: adjust crank rotation with a slider to visualize dimension effects on engine packaging.

Engineering Wise is the engineering equations library in your pocket. Currently, Engineering Wise consists of more than 100 equations about Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Fluid Mechanics. The app offers descriptions of each equation. It also provides information of each variable of the equations. Users can bookmark equations for offline use. There are also useful tables included for miscellaneous information. In the next few months, the app will branch to specific engineering disciplines (Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc).
