Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: On Time at 4.6 against Time Button's 1.0. On Time also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Time Button's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 50%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Button sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and On Time sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On Time holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: On Time has 39 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Time Button's written reviews are positive against 50% of On Time's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Time Button ships an update every 5 months, On Time every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
