In addition to saving your bike trip data in the application, Best Bike exports it to the Apple Health application (calories burned, cycling distance and workout). The Best Bike user interface is simple and designed for ease of use during a ride but viewing the screen is not necessary; Best Bike will speak the metrics you choose at the time or distance interval you choose. Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Automatic Cycling Detection holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Automatic Cycling Detection has 42 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Best Bike Computer's written reviews are positive against 29% of Automatic Cycling Detection's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Best Bike Computer ships an update every 4 months, Automatic Cycling Detection every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
