Challenge your musical skill with Interval by determining which chord was played. For each puzzle, three chords are played with the musical notation displayed for the first two. The third chord will be one of four choices displayed - choose your answer by touching the right chord. The point value for each game will be added to your score for the correct answer, but half the points will be deducted for each wrong one. You can play the three chords as many times as you like, and you can move on to the next puzzle without answering and without penalty. Your musical knowledge will increase with repeated playing of the game. You can choose between piano and church organ for the game's instrument.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Interval min at none against Chord Quiz's 1. Interval min also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Chord Quiz's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (71 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chord Quiz sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Interval min asks for nothing beyond the download.
Interval min holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chord Quiz has 71 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Interval min's written reviews are positive against 53% of Chord Quiz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Interval min ships an update every 7 months, Chord Quiz every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
