Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Split Web Browser at 71% against Douber's 33%. Split Web Browser also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (752 vs 19). Douber's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 23 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Douber sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Split Web Browser asks for nothing beyond the download.
Douber holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Split Web Browser has 752 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Split Web Browser's written reviews are positive against 33% of Douber's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Split Web Browser ships an update every 23 months, Douber every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
