Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cross Virus at 100% against Gravity Noodle's 34%. Cross Virus also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). Gravity Noodle's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (16K vs 8). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gravity Noodle sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Cross Virus asks for nothing beyond the download.
Gravity Noodle holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gravity Noodle has 16K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Cross Virus's written reviews are positive against 34% of Gravity Noodle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Cross Virus ships an update every 26 months, Gravity Noodle every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
