Both are free to download. Multiply or die sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Cross Virus asks for nothing beyond the download.
Multiply or die holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Multiply or die has 2.8K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Cross Virus's written reviews are positive against 17% of Multiply or die's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Cross Virus ships an update every 26 months, Multiply or die every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 23, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
