Aplikace eObčanka pro mobilní platformu iOS slouží k elektronické identifikaci a autentizaci držitelů občanských průkazů vydaných po 1. 7. 2018 vůči online službám a portálům poskytovaných zejména veřejnou správou. Pro využití této aplikace k přihlašování k online službám a portálům poskytovaným zejména veřejnou správou je třeba, aby držitel občanského průkazu vydaného po 1. 7. 2018 měl jednak aktivovanou elektronickou funkci občanského průkazu (tj. na úřadu zadal DOK – deblokační osobní kód a IOK – identifikační osobní kód) a dále, aby držitel měl k dispozici jednu z podporovaných bluetooth čteček čipových karet: Gemalto (CT 1100), ACS (ACR 3901 U-S1 Bluetooth contact smartcard reader), či Feitian (bR301 BLE – c45 /černá varianta/) či AirID (Business 2).
