Undercover is a word game for groups. Everyone gets the same secret word — except for a few players! Your goal is to find out who is who, and to stay in the game. You must describe your word, but you can never say it. _______________ • Are you at a party, looking for a game that can engage everyone? • Or thinking of a good way to interact with your friends during dinner, an outing, or even at work? You are in the right place! Undercover, like icebreaker games Werewolf, Codenames and Spyfall, was created to ensure active participation from everyone who can read and speak. Laughter and surprises are guaranteed! _______________ KEY FEATURES: 1. Offline mode: Everyone plays on the same phone. Players must be physically together. 2. Online mode: Play with your friends or with players around the world. Requires an account and is available to players aged 18+. 3. Our hand-picked word database ensures maximum engagement from everyone, whatever their interests. 4. Real-time ranking is displayed at the end of each round. Compare your Undercover skills with your friends’! _______________ BASIC RULES: • Roles: You can be either a Civilian or an Infiltrator (Undercover or Mr. White) • Get your secret word: Pass the phone around to let each player choose their name and get a secret word! Civilians all receive the same word, the Undercover gets a slightly different word, and Mr. White receives no word at all. • Describe your word: One by one, each player must give a short description of their word. Mr. White must improvise. • Time to vote: After discussion, vote to eliminate the person that seems to have a different word from yours. The app will then reveal the eliminated player’s role! Tip: Mr. White wins if he guesses the Civilians' word correctly! _______________ Creative thinking & strategy, combined with hilarious reversals of situation, are sure to make Undercover one of the best party games you’ll play this year!

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Undercover™ at 4.8 against Quickfire Interactive's 2.7. Undercover™ also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (3.2K vs 6). Quickfire Interactive's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 22) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Undercover™ sells 20 one-off in-app purchases. Quickfire Interactive asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Undercover™ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Undercover™ has 3.2K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Undercover™'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Quickfire Interactive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Undercover™ ships an update every 2 weeks, Quickfire Interactive every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
