Verdict

The call

Magic Touch and Wizard Hero both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 62% of Magic Touch's written reviews are positive against 27% of Wizard Hero's. Wizard Hero's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (7.9K vs 1.2K). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Touch sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Wizard Hero sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Wizard Hero holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wizard Hero has 7.9K ratings behind it against 1.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Magic Touch's written reviews are positive against 27% of Wizard Hero's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Magic Touch ships an update every 2 months, Wizard Hero weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
