About

Perihel

You fly at almost the speed of light, in a ship that has been out there for years. The paint is gone, a riveted patch plate hangs on the left strut, one light segment is dead. Comets come at you out of the vanishing point beyond your glass. Your job: shoot them before they get through. You have three shields. Every rock that gets past costs one. HOW YOU FIRE Your thumb rests on the fire bar below the glass. One press, one shot. The glass itself stays clear — you should see what is coming at you, not your own hand. THE RIGHT MOMENT Hitting alone is not enough. As a rock comes closer, a ring closes in around it. Fire exactly then and you get the most points. Fire straight away and you will hit — but get almost nothing. Hesitate, and just as little. THE RED MINES Not everything may be shot. Mines announce themselves with a red warning light and fly slower than comets: you have time to decide, but you have to look. Hit one and it costs a shield. Let it pass and you get points for it. THE STREAK Every hit extends your streak, and a full streak is worth half again as much. It breaks when you get hit — and with every shot into empty space. Fire wildly and you will never build one. There is more: fire comets worth five times as much. Ember cores that set the whole cockpit ablaze when they burst. Shield canisters when things get tight. And every five levels a large body that takes several hits — and costs you a shield if it gets through. THE DAILY SECTOR One fixed run each day, the same for every player. Only your best attempt counts. You can share the result without giving the run away. WHAT YOU EARN Four places with their own worlds and star fields. Three weapons that differ rather than improve — more time for fewer points, or more points for slower reloading. And medals in bronze, silver and gold that hang in your cockpit. FREE AND COMPLETE The endless run is entirely free: no time limit, no ads, no subscription. Full Flight unlocks the daily sector, all places, all weapons and the practice run — once, forever. Everything runs on the device. No account, no sign-in, no data collection.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is ads: Perihel at none against ZigZag's shown. Perihel also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 2 months). ZigZag's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
