Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Simple Alchemy at 4.8 against Golden Bridge's 4.0. Simple Alchemy also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 22 months) and ratings volume (6 vs 2). Golden Bridge's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Simple Alchemy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Golden Bridge's written reviews are positive against 91% of Simple Alchemy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Golden Bridge ships an update every 22 months, Simple Alchemy monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
