Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Slam Mania at 4.6 against Jump Kid's 3.7. Slam Mania also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (238 vs 6). Jump Kid's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jump Kid sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Slam Mania sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Slam Mania holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slam Mania has 238 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Jump Kid's written reviews are positive against 80% of Slam Mania's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Jump Kid ships an update every 17 months, Slam Mania every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
