This innovative iPad app helps beginner to intermediate flautists, and is the ideal partner during practice sessions. Place your iPad on a music stand, then run FlutePrac for your flute warm-up, scales and long notes. There is no navigation within the app that requires you to take your hands off your flute, so FlutePrac makes it easy to: * Check your posture and embouchure on the screen while you play * Reinforce learning of notes played with positions on staff and ledger lines * Adjust pitch with feedback from a chromatic tuner * See the duration of each long note played * Track overall time spent in the practice session FlutePrac was developed by a flautist for flautists, so doesn't have the quirks that you may have experienced in other apps, such as guitar tuners. The algorithm is based on research from the University of Otago, and is both fast and accurate. Note from developer: I have previously used this app for myself, and this is its first public release. I have great plans to add many more useful features to FlutePrac, so you might want to download it now while it is still free. Please provide me with feedback on how you use FlutePrac so that I can make it suit more than just my own needs!

About

FluteGym

Features

FluteGym brings FSRS, the spaced-repetition scheduler built for memorization, to physical practice. Every exercise, study and piece carries its own memory state. The app models how a passage decays in your hands, brings it back before you lose it, and builds each session around what is going stale. PRACTICE THAT REMEMBERS FOR YOU Rate every repetition as you play. FluteGym schedules the next one from that rating, saves a place for the pieces you pin, and measures the whole level against the date you set. WILL YOU BE READY? Because every repetition is rated, the data underneath is real: a skill profile by category, mastery that rises and falls, trends over time, and insights naming your strongest work, your weakest, and what needs review now. A tuning analysis maps every note you play. Set an exam or audition date and a readiness projection tells you whether you are on pace. A CATALOG YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUILD The scheduler runs on programs we built and maintain: conservatory and exam-board curricula from six countries (Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Argentina, Chile and Colombia), level by level. Alongside them, live orchestra audition postings, refreshed weekly, each excerpt list a paced program of its own. AND THE REST OF YOUR PRACTICE • Metronome, tuner, drone and recorder on the practice screen • Send a plan or share a session as a link • Home-screen widgets and a weekly report • Build your own routines and plan your week on a calendar Offline-first, no ads, no account required. Your practice data stays on your device unless you share it; cloud backup is your choice. FLUTEGYM PRO Try every feature free for 14 days. A Pro subscription (monthly or annual) then unlocks the programs and orchestra auditions, the readiness projection, detailed analytics, tuning analysis and tone readouts, practice segments, changing the plan mid-session, score and recording searches, writing notes, the practice calendar, device-calendar sync, cloud backup, and a planned session every day from the starter routine FluteGym builds for you (one a week without Pro). The core tools stay free: metronome, tuner, drone, recorder, routines you build yourself with no Pro features, reading your notes, and basic progress.
