Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Motionblinds Bridge at 1.9 against Trust SmartHome's 1.0. Motionblinds Bridge also leads on ratings volume (30 vs 2) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Trust SmartHome's advantage is review sentiment (36% vs 6%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Motionblinds Bridge holds the better App Store score, 1.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Motionblinds Bridge has 30 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Trust SmartHome's written reviews are positive against 6% of Motionblinds Bridge's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Trust SmartHome ships an update fortnightly, Motionblinds Bridge every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
