Transform Your Flight Experience with Advanced Cabin Monitoring Cabin Pressurisation is your companion for understanding and visualising how aircraft cabins are pressurised at altitude. Whether for training, education, or curiosity, this app brings complex systems to life with authentic cockpit-style instruments and intuitive displays. Cockpit Modes (Tailored to Aircraft Types): Advanced EFIS – State-of-the-art display (max 9.0 ΔP) Turboprop – For smaller turboprop aircraft (max 5.5 ΔP) Corporate Jet 8.6 PSI – Inspired by a renowned business jet (max 8.9 ΔP) Corporate Jet 10 PSI – Modelled after the fastest business jet (max 9.6 ΔP) Airliner Legacy – Classic jet airliner design (max 9.1 ΔP) Airliner EFIS – Modern jetliner interface (max 8.6 ΔP) Key Features: Cabin Altitude Gauge (CABIN ALT) – Displays cabin altitude in thousands of feet. Differential Pressure Gauge (ΔP) – Shows the pressure difference between cabin and outside air. Variometer (CABIN CLIMB) – Tracks the rate of cabin altitude change. Ground Speed Display – Monitors ground speed in knots. Limitations: GPS Dependent – Best performance when your device is near a window. Mach Indicator – Approximate only (based on ground speed and altitude). Important: This app is designed for educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for certified aircraft systems or instruments.
Radar Performance
This application calculates the geometry of aircraft weather radar beams relative to Earth, the freezing level, and the "bright band" for optimal weather detection. It identifies areas on the radar display where the beam is too high or low for effective weather detection and highlights potential ground returns.
- Calculates weather radar beam geometry
- Considers Earth and freezing level
- Identifies optimal detection altitudes
- Shows areas of ineffective beam coverage
- Highlights potential ground returns
- Supports various radar models

Radar Performance calculates the geometry of aircraft weather radar beams with respect to the earth, the freezing level, and the band of altitudes that provide the maximum weather radar returns (the "bright band"). It also shows the areas on the radar display where the beam is too high or low to effectively detect active weather and areas where you may see ground returns. Radar Performance also includes an Overfly mode for confirming that the tops of lower-level convective weather remain safely below your aircraft. You choose a safe clearance altitude and a tactical range, and the app calculates the radar tilt at which the bottom of the beam just reaches that altitude at that range. With this tilt set, any weather returns indicate that the tops have penetrated your safety margin, so going around the weather is advised. Overfly mode is available at aircraft altitudes of 15,000 ft and above, and is inspired by Tom McGrath's "Snowplow" technique. Radar Performance supports a variety of weather radar models as well as a "generic" model. It is not specific to any aircraft type.

Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Pressurisation at free against Radar Performance's ad-supported. Radar Performance's advantage is ratings volume (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Pressurisation against 5.0 for Radar Performance. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on June 25, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
