Bevel turns your iPhone's built-in sensors into a pocket workshop of measuring tools: clean, quick, and quiet. No ads. No accounts. No subscriptions. Bevel uses the network for the App Store's billing for the one-time upgrade. We receive anonymous usage stats. FREE, FOREVER • Level: bullseye and torpedo bubble levels with edge readings and calibrate-on-flat • Compass: a smooth rotating dial with true-north support via a declination you set yourself • Protractor: measure an angle by tilt, or drag two arms on screen • Ruler: an on-screen scale you calibrate against a bank card so it reads true • Plumb: check walls, frames and posts are truly vertical • Screen Test: full-screen colours to hunt dead or stuck pixels • Sensor Check: every sensor your iPhone carries, live, and what Bevel reads from each one • Flashlight: a real torch, a full-screen light, and an SOS signal BEVEL PRO, one purchase, yours forever • Metal Detector: sense magnetic fields to find studs, nails and pipes, with a pulse that quickens as you close in • Seismometer: a live vibration graph with peak hold • Altimeter: barometric pressure and relative altitude • Rangefinder: estimate the height and distance of a tree, building or ceiling by tilt, or with the camera sight • Vial Level: a glowing liquid bubble in black glass that follows how you hold the phone, roll and pitch together • Every skin and every sound set Tap any Pro tool for a short preview before you unlock it. Pro is a single one-time purchase tied to your Apple Account, so it unlocks on any compatible device you sign in with. No subscription, ever. BUILT HONEST Phone sensors are handy, not laboratory instruments, so Bevel's readings are approximate, and it tells you the truth up front. Not every iPhone has every sensor, so each tool shows at a glance whether your device supports it. On iPhone and iPad the Altimeter asks for Motion & Fitness the first time you open it, and the reading stays on your device. THE STUDIO PROMISE Bevel is part of the Zone7 utility line: small, focused apps that respect you. Private by design, calm to use, pay once and own it. More at zone7studios.com.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is ads: Bevel at none against Time's shown. On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Time sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Bevel sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
