Tone Generator holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tone Generator has 138 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Incident Logger's written reviews are positive against 84% of Tone Generator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Incident Logger ships an update every 7 months, Tone Generator every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
