Circuitry is a hands-on logic game that makes Boolean algebra, logic gates, and digital circuits easier to understand. Build circuits by connecting AND, OR, XOR, NOT, and other gates, then experiment with different inputs to see how signals travel through your design. Work through 22 progressively challenging problems to unlock new components. Then use Playground Mode to create and test circuits of your own. Features: - 22 logic-circuit problems - Interactive circuit building and simulation - 36 different circuit components - Playground Mode for creating your own circuits

Bring your toys to life with Circuit Cubes, the electronic building blocks that add power, motion, and light to your creations. Designed by STEM teachers, Circuit Cubes can turn on a light, power a motor, or make wheels spin — plus they are compatible with all major brand bricks. The Circuit Cubes app allows you to push the limits of what you can do with your builds. Control your creations by using Tank, Tinker, or Gamepad modes and even create basic programming in the Code interface. The app includes the instructions for all the Circuit Cubes kits. You can also save your own creations to My Builds.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Circuitry at 96% against Circuit Cubes's 42%. Circuitry also leads on rating (4.8 vs 3.4) and ratings volume (291 vs 57). Circuit Cubes's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and update cadence (monthly vs every 46 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Circuitry holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Circuitry has 291 ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 96% of Circuitry's written reviews are positive against 42% of Circuit Cubes's.
Circuitry ships an update every 46 months, Circuit Cubes monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
