Longplayer: a thousand years of music in your pocket! Longplayer is a musical composition that has been playing since the beginning of the year 2000, and will play on, never repeating, until it reaches the point at which it first started, exactly 1000 years later. Longplayer is in effect an everlasting piece of music; its score mirrors a planetary system, six musical events whose orbits come into phase once a millennium. Until now, Longplayer has only been accessible by visiting a handful of "listening posts" or via an online stream. This app is the first standalone version of Longplayer, creating the music in real time based on the composition's thousand-year-long score. It requires no data connection and automatically synchronises itself with every other copy of the app across the globe. With this app, you become part of a community of listeners distributed through space and time, across many lifetimes. - real time high-quality playback of Longplayer, with no need for a data connection - plays in the background: listen to Longplayer while you continue to use other apps, and while your phone is locked. - real time score display - graphic and textual information explaining how it works - detailed information section about Longplayer's history, development, composition, conceptual background and much more - up-to-date news from the Longplayer website (data connection required) Recommended for headphones or external speakers. Musicians train like athletes. Same hours, same body, same pursuit. But an athlete's every session is measured, and a musician's disappears the moment it ends. Notey is a performance lab in your pocket, on the iPhone in your hand and the Apple Watch on your wrist. We treat a practice session the way sports science treats a training session. Sound and body, measured together. Music is one of the most fundamental things humans make. Every artist deserves the chance to perform at their best. Record everything Every run captured and stored. What you played, what you said while playing, where the silences fell. See what actually happened Pauses, repetitions, spoken vs played vs silent, heart rate through the session, daily and weekly trends. Practice better tomorrow Pre-session briefs tell you where to pick up. Post-session summaries are timestamped to the audio, so you jump straight to the bar that troubled you. Prepare your body for concert day Your body is the instrument behind the instrument. Notey tracks how it behaves under pressure, so the concert hall isn't where you find out. Measured seriously. Designed thoughtfully. Your practice, protected We promise to protect every recording with cutting-edge tech and anytime customer support.

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Notey Music at Free against Longplayer's $3.99. Notey Music also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 136 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Longplayer's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
