Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: ArenaCineplex at 4.2 against iris GO's 1.8. iris GO's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months) and review sentiment (10% vs 0%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
ArenaCineplex holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 1.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 66 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of iris GO's written reviews are positive against 0% of ArenaCineplex's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
iris GO ships an update every 2 months, ArenaCineplex every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
