HD App connects to any HD Steth via standard Bluetooth protocol. It is a state of the art app that can perform many functions that are required as part of cardiac testing. It allows for medical professionals, caregivers and users to visualise heart sounds as well as see the electrical waveform of an EKG. Both waveforms are displayed simultaneously. The interface is designed to user-friendly and many functions can be done intuitively. The amplification and gain of both waveforms can be adjusted dynamically. Test data can be recorded on the fly and saved to the local device. Recorded data can be replayed or reviewed by specialists and users. The information can be saved to a patient's medical record. Heart sounds (PCG) and 1-lead EKG rhythm are acquired and displayed simultaneously on an accompanying mobile application on a hand-held smart device like a phone or tablet. The waveforms can be recorded and saved on the smart device on which the app is running. The device has 3 auscultation modes – Bell, Diaphragm and Lung (Wide). These modes and volume levels can be changed by the press of a button. The EKG rhythm recording assists in getting an indicative Heart Rate (HR) that gets displayed on a display panel on the device.
