Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Appfigures at 383 against PSRayTracing's 2. Appfigures also leads on update cadence (every 7 months vs every 30 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17). PSRayTracing's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
PSRayTracing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Appfigures has 383 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Appfigures's written reviews are positive against 100% of PSRayTracing's.
Appfigures ships an update every 7 months, PSRayTracing every 30 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
