Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Imposter Game at 4.7 against Cuarenta's 3.2. Imposter Game also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 6). Cuarenta's advantage is review sentiment (55% vs 26%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cuarenta sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Imposter Game sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Imposter Game holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Imposter Game has 1.4K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Cuarenta's written reviews are positive against 26% of Imposter Game's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Cuarenta ships an update every 4 months, Imposter Game fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
