My Cube Keyboard
Read full descriptionHide full description
Typing cube notation on a regular keyboard means hunting for a shifted, awkwardly-placed apostrophe on every single counter-clockwise move. My Cube Keyboard fixes that with dedicated notation keys built for how speedcubers actually type. DEDICATED NOTATION KEYS Every WCA move gets its own key — R U F L D B, wide moves, M E S slice turns, and x y z rotations. Long-press any key to reveal R', R2, and R3, just like iOS's own accented-character picker. Prefer always-visible modifiers instead? Switch to sticky toggle keys, where '/count/wide stay active across taps and preview the exact move you're about to type. EVERY PUZZLE, NOT JUST THE CUBE Cube support goes from 2×2 all the way to 18×18. Beyond the cube, type notation for Pyraminx, Skewb, Megaminx, Square-1, and Clock — switch between them right from the keyboard. WCA OR LOWERCASE — YOUR CALL Write wide moves the official way (Rw, Uw...) or the informal way (r, u...). Automatic spacing keeps your moves separated as you type, or turn it off for full manual control. WORKS EVERYWHERE YOU TYPE This is a real system keyboard, not a standalone tool. Post algorithms in Discord, jot down a scramble in Notes, fill out WCA regulation forms, or write on any forum — the keyboard goes wherever you're already typing. NO FULL ACCESS REQUIRED Unlike many custom keyboards, My Cube Keyboard never asks for Full Access. There's nothing to send over the network — just faster typing. Whether you're memorizing algorithms for competition or just posting scrambles to a Discord server, My Cube Keyboard gets cube notation onto the screen as fast as you can think it.

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: iCheckUp at Free against My Cube Keyboard's $0.99. iCheckUp also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 26.0). My Cube Keyboard's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 months). On in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
