TablaTuner is the first tuner built specifically for tabla players — and the first that can tell you which note to tune to. Most tuners are designed for guitars and ukuleles. They don't understand that a tabla dayan needs to be tuned to Sa — and that Sa changes depending on the song, the singer, or the ensemble you're playing with. TablaTuner does. HOW IT WORKS Open the app, tap your tabla, and see your pitch instantly. A smooth visual indicator shows you exactly how sharp or flat you are, with a color system that shifts from red to green as you approach the target note. When you nail it, the entire screen floods green. You'll know. FIND ANY SONG'S SA Playing along to a song? Search it in the Songs tab and TablaTuner tells you its Sa — the note to tune your drums to. One tap sets the tuner. Every song has a 30-second preview, so you can check it's the right version before you tune. If a song's key hasn't been found yet, ask for an analysis: a few instant analyses a day are free for everyone, and the rest queue up. After you've tuned, say whether the key matched — that's how the key data gets better for every player. TABLA-SPECIFIC PRESETS Quick-select from the most common tabla tunings: C#, D, Eb, E, and more — or pick any of the twelve notes from a grid when you already know your Sa. Set a custom reference pitch if you're playing with instruments tuned to something other than A4 = 440 Hz. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT - Real-time pitch detection — accurate, fast, and optimized for the harmonic-rich tones of the tabla syahi - Visual sliding indicator that moves and changes color as you tune — intuitive enough that you can tune while looking at your phone from a distance - Full-screen green confirmation when your pitch is locked — no second-guessing - Song search that ends in "Tune to D", not a chart you have to decode - A guided first run: tell it what you want to play, and you're tuning within a minute - No ads. No subscriptions. Just a tuner that works. KEPT FREE BY PLAYERS TablaTuner has no ads and nothing to subscribe to. It stays that way thanks to players who leave a one-time tip in Settings. Nothing in the app is locked behind it — the tuner, every scale, and song keys are free for everyone. Nothing you play is recorded or sent anywhere. Song searches and install counts go to Emon's server, never linked to you. BUILT BY A TABLA PLAYER TablaTuner was made by Emon Dhar — a tabla player trained in Hindustani music who got tired of using guitar tuners that didn't understand Indian classical instruments. Every feature in this app comes from real practice sessions and real frustrations. There's a tab inside where he posts what's new and what's coming. Whether you're a beginner learning to tune for the first time or a performer preparing backstage, TablaTuner gives you the fastest path from out-of-tune to ready-to-play. Download TablaTuner.
