Ora is a world clock app, in the most literal sense possible. Like any good world clock, it lets you see the time in different locations around the globe; but unlike others, it can show you those times on an actual globe, and you can use Time Travel to see different times. This is especially useful if you work across time zones, or are following events in other time zones; for all those times you might ask questions like “What time is it in New York when it’s 3pm in London?”.

Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Ora at free with in-app purchases against World Clock Pro's subscription. Ora also leads on review sentiment (85% vs 77%) and device support (5 vs 2). World Clock Pro's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 70) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. World Clock Pro sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Ora sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for World Clock Pro against 4.9 for Ora. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: World Clock Pro has 1.3K ratings behind it against 70, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of World Clock Pro's written reviews are positive against 85% of Ora's.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
