With Blood pH, you can quickly determine the acid-base disorders of your patient, follow their evolution graphically, and see whether it’s adequately compensating for them. If it is not, Blood pH will also report the disturbance that’s preventing this. All this information is inserted visually, in a beautiful interactive graph, in order to let you better understand what’s happening. When appropriate, Blood pH also lets you calculate the Anion Gap or the A-a Difference, to obtain a better characterization of the source of the disturbance. Features: - Interactive color graph where you can plot, with a touch of the screen, your patient’s disturbance and see the relationship between pH, PaCO2, HCO3 and Standard Base Excess. - Choose between the physiological model (HCO3) or Standard Base Excess for plotting and calculate the disturbance. - Store previous disturbances and plot them on the screen to follow their evolution - Grayscale version of the graph, with increased contrast between elements - Share the color or grayscale graph as a PDF - Context sensitive Anion Gap and A-A Difference calculators to better characterize the disturbance - Insert pressures as mmHg or KPa - The A-a Difference calculator can use your current atmospheric pressure to improve its accuracy - Universal App with iPad and iPhone support

The TTE values you look up every day — graded, color-coded, and cited — one tap away. Built by a cardiologist for the reading room. WHO IT'S FOR Cardiologists, cardiology fellows, sonographers, and any clinician who performs or interprets transthoracic echocardiograms — at the scanner, in the reading room, or on rounds. FIND IT FAST Six color-coded sections — Chambers, Stenosis, Regurgitation, Diastology, Pericardium, Formulas — one tap from the top of every screen. Severity ramps make mild vs moderate vs severe legible at a glance. Star the cards you use most and they pin to the top. COMPLETE COVERAGE • Chambers: LV size and function, LV mass, RV, atria, aortic root, IVC → RA pressure • Stenosis: aortic, mitral, tricuspid, pulmonic — velocities, gradients, valve areas • Regurgitation: vena contracta, EROA, regurgitant volume and fraction for all four valves • Diastology: the 2025 cut-points and the exceptions where they don't apply • Pericardium: tamponade, constriction, constriction vs restriction, effusion grading • Formulas: Bernoulli, continuity, PISA, volumetric, right- and left-sided pressures BUILT FOR THE BEDSIDE Works fully offline — no login, no ads, no data collection. Light and dark themes. Follows your system text size. EVERY VALUE CITED Every card carries superscript markers that jump to the full citation, straight from the ASE, EACVI, and ACC/AHA guidelines: chamber quantification (2015), aortic stenosis focused update (2017), valve stenosis (2009), valvular heart disease (2020), native valvular regurgitation (2017), diastolic function (2025), and pericardial disease (2013). FOR CLINICIANS For licensed clinicians and trainees. The app performs no calculations, stores no patient data, and makes no diagnosis; it is not a substitute for clinical judgement or the source guidelines.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Blood pH at 28 against Echodex's 1. Echodex's advantage is price ($0.99 vs $1.99) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Blood pH costs $1.99 and Echodex $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Blood pH against 5.0 for Echodex. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blood pH has 28 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
