Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Bracket App at 4.3 against Elo Challenge's 3.0. Bracket App also leads on ratings volume (123 vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Elo Challenge's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Bracket App holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bracket App has 123 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Elo Challenge's written reviews are positive against 71% of Bracket App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Elo Challenge ships an update every 2 months, Bracket App every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 9, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
