Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Human Cannonball at none against Mars's shown. Human Cannonball also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). Mars's advantage is ratings volume (22K vs 85) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Human Cannonball sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Mars sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Mars holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mars has 22K ratings behind it against 85, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of Human Cannonball's written reviews are positive against 91% of Mars's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Human Cannonball ships an update every 3 months, Mars monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
