Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: ¡Learn Spanish! at none against Learn Spanish for Beginner's shown. ¡Learn Spanish! also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Learn Spanish for Beginner's advantage is review sentiment (89% vs 68%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.5). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. ¡Learn Spanish! sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Learn Spanish for Beginner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
¡Learn Spanish! holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ¡Learn Spanish! has 2.5K ratings behind it against 463, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of ¡Learn Spanish!'s written reviews are positive against 89% of Learn Spanish for Beginner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
¡Learn Spanish! ships an update every 5 days, Learn Spanish for Beginner every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
