Idemat is an essential and must-have tool for designers caring about the impact of their designs regarding material choice and related processes. Sustainable design plays an increasingly important role in society and product design. However, designers often struggle with choosing the right materials, think the process is too time consuming or lack the necessary support and inspiration to perform the task ahead. To address these challenges, Delft University of Technology initiated a MSc graduation project, which involved design firms, design professionals and design students - seeking an answer to the question: "How can we empower designers to create more sustainable products?" The Idemat app provides the answer. By bridging the gap between existing environmental knowledge and design practice, it brings life cycle assessment closer to the start of the design process – an area where more significant environmental gains can be realized. Integrating and building on the foundations of the existing IDEMATapp database by Delft University of Technology (available at www.ecocostsvalue.com), this app features an extensive collection of environmental impact data regarding materials and processes, which allows for the assessment of the eco-burden of products based on two distinct single indicators: eco-costs and carbon footprint. A clear navigational structure functions as a guiding hand. Predefined end-of-life scenarios are automatically applied to subsequent steps, greatly simplifying the selection process. The over 480 materials and processes are divided in distinct categories, allowing for fast look-up and comparison. Visual rankings and detail screens help the user to understand and act on the presented data, and share options allow for interesting finds to be shared to others. The means is in your hands, now it's up to you to act on it!

Ask your own lectures, meetings and PDFs, and get an answer that shows you exactly where it came from. Record a class or a client call, drop in the slides and the reading, then simply ask: "what did we agree on the budget?", "how did she define elasticity?" Every answer points back to the exact second or page it came from, so you can hear it in the speaker's own words instead of taking the AI's word for it. The AI doing that work sits on your iPhone. The transcription model and the language model are both downloaded onto the device, so there is no account, nothing is uploaded, and it all works in Airplane Mode. For anything confidential, that matters more than any feature on this list. WHILE YOU RECORD Words appear on screen as they are spoken. Photograph a slide or a whiteboard and it is pinned to that exact second of audio, so tapping it later jumps you straight back to the moment it was explained. No scrubbing through ninety minutes to find the part you missed. AFTER IT ENDS A structured summary of what was discussed is written for you automatically, topic by topic, next to the full transcript you can search. FOR WORK Meetings, interviews and workshops stay on your device, not on someone else's server. Keep a notebook per client or project, add its PDFs and Word documents, and ask across all of it at once. With Pro, speaker labels show who said what. FOR STUDY Flashcards are built from your own lectures and notes, then scheduled with spaced repetition so each one comes back right before you would have forgotten it. Quizzes, mind maps and infographic posters turn a semester of recordings into something you can revise from. IN YOUR LANGUAGE ReQuest speaks 17 languages, its own interface included. Record in any of them and your transcript, summary and flashcards come back in that same language. INCLUDED FREE • Unlimited recording and on-device transcription • Live transcript as you record • Slide and whiteboard photos synced to the audio timeline • AI summaries of every recording • AI flashcards with spaced repetition • Ask questions across everything you have saved, with citations • Import PDFs, Word documents, notes and images • Up to 3 notebooks • Try quizzes, mind maps and infographic posters, 15 times each REQUEST PRO (requires a paid subscription) • Unlimited notebooks, one per course, client or project • Unlimited quizzes built from your own material • Unlimited mind maps and infographic posters • Export to Markdown, PNG and PDF • Speaker labels, so you can tell who said what WHY ON-DEVICE MATTERS A lecture recording carries your professor's voice. A meeting recording carries your colleagues' and your clients'. Most transcription apps upload both to a server you have never heard of. ReQuest does not have a server. Whisper handles transcription locally, a local language model writes everything else, and neither needs a connection. If you are signed in to iCloud, your material syncs between your own devices through your personal iCloud account. We never receive a copy. SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS ReQuest Pro is an auto-renewable subscription: • ReQuest Pro Monthly: $4.99 per month • ReQuest Pro Yearly: $29.99 per year (about $2.50 per month) Prices are in USD and may vary by region; the exact price is always shown before you confirm a purchase.
