Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Last Army Unit at 5.0 against Dodge Red's 3.9. Last Army Unit also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.6). Dodge Red's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 18 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Last Army Unit sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Dodge Red asks for nothing beyond the download.
Last Army Unit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dodge Red has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Dodge Red's written reviews are positive against 88% of Last Army Unit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Dodge Red ships an update every 4 months, Last Army Unit every 18 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
