Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sys Info Widget at none against Device System Services's 1. Sys Info Widget also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). Device System Services's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (394 vs 37). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Device System Services sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Sys Info Widget asks for nothing beyond the download.
Device System Services holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Device System Services has 394 ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Sys Info Widget's written reviews are positive against 52% of Device System Services's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Sys Info Widget ships an update every 2 months, Device System Services every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
