My Talking Monkey holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Talking Monkey has 71 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of My Talking Monkey's written reviews are positive against 100% of Talking Elephant King Red's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
My Talking Monkey ships an update every 16 months, Talking Elephant King Red every 116 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
